The HV1000 whole house fan has R38 insulated dampers that close when the fan is not running. This keeps cool (or warm!) air from leaking into the attic.
This fan only takes a few hours to install. It is hardwired for power and control (controls not included)
Recommended controls are the TTi-HVRC remote kit or an SPST wall switch, or a spring-wound mechanical timer. All other controls will void the waranty.
This fan blows a lot of air into the attic and it needs to be able to get out. Please make sure you have enough attic ventilation.
This fan is well suited for a bedroom or small family room. It is not large enough to cool an entire house unless it is small.
